Our History
Lorrie Potter, the Founder and Designer, initiated this venture in 1996 under the name “Homeplans and Designs.” Her motivation was to create a flexible work environment that allowed her to raise her children while contributing to the family income. Drawing on the building expertise passed down from her father and husband, Lorrie honed her skills, establishing a strong reputation that attracted a diverse client base.
In 2014, she rebranded the business as “Potter Home Design,” marking a fresh beginning. Remarkably, many of Lorrie’s initial clients continue to choose her services for their drawing requirements even after 28 years. This longevity speaks volumes about the trust and satisfaction her clients find in the quality and reliability of Potter Home Design.
